29 Jan Welcome to True Kansas
Launching today — on Kansas’ 155th birthday — True Kansas will become the new hub for my Kansas photography projects.
I’m a travel photographer with images from six continents in my files but it all began with Kansas, my home state. My photo library initially consisted entirely of Kansas images and, in the mid- and late-90s, I worked hard to create one of the most complete Kansas stock photo libraries around. Having done that, I moved on to include neighboring states, the Great Lakes area, and eventually destinations all over the world. I do still shoot a great deal in Kansas, though, and constantly work to build and update my Kansas library. It’s an amazing place. The more I travel, the more I appreciate what we have here.
I’m beginning by launching this blog and an Instagram account today — @TrueKansas. I’ll have daily posts on Instagram for now (at least as my travel schedule permits) and will also be actively building posts here on the blog. I’ll also have a Facebook page where I’ll post not only what’s going on here, but links to other Kansas news that I run across elsewhere.
All of the photography you’ll see on this blog and in my Instagram feed will be my images. If you would like to license an image for publication, or would like a print for your home, just drop me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org
In the meantime, I do also have a few images available for online prints from Crated.
In the near future, I hope to be adding easier ways to order photo-related items and even search some of my archives online. But… this is just Day One for True Kansas. Happy Birthday to the 34th Star and a big welcome to all of you that join me here to continue to celebrate this great state.
